Just back from the Edinburgh Festival. It was great. The first evening we went to the Radiohead concert at Meadowbank which was amazing. I knew precious little about them beforehand but came away as a fan – loved it.
Day two we went to the  Martial arts dance show Jump 2006 – can’t recommend this highly enough , taekwon-do meets Charlie Chaplin – my kinda show! Stopped off at the Book Festival just in time to see the great and good leaving a lecture David Steele and Tam Dyell being the only ones I could put a name to.
Day three we visited the Van Gogh exhibition at the Dean Gallery, followed by a bus tour, the furniture show, a stroll through the gardens and then a visit to the Chapel on Prices Street. We cut short the visit as I wasn’t feeling too great.  Overall a five star visit – roll on next year

James was playing about with letters at nursery and wrote down FIREPOINT. Nothing special about that you might have thought. However, at three years old James has very little speech and he was recalling the word from a briefing they had that very morning at nursery. FIREPOINT is his new word he uses it everywhere now pointing out the letters  or writing it down using his blocks.

Sharron not feeling to great so I got up early to give here some peace. Used the time to tidy up the music video and post it to You Tube.

A mixed weekend of good and bad weather. Managed to get all the hedges trimmed – that was the easy bit. Picking up all the leaves and debris afterwards was very time consuming. Feeling it today in lower back.

New specs arrived -Sharron says I look  like Harry Hill.  Thanks!

Seriously – the time has come it’s bi-focals I’m getting OLD!!!!!!!!!!! Some geeky pics will be added later.
