A policewoman comes to the door. God it’s disaster no. 6 – she asks for me. I’m in a panic!
Turns out I had dropped my wallet on the way to hospital this morning – the good luck part was that the police doctor had found it. Our luck has changed – hurrah!

This is turning out to be the holiday from hell. We are having a great time. I went running yesterday and the knees are a bit sore walking down hill is rather painful. We play badminton tonight and disaster no. 3 strikes. I warmed up properly did a proper stretch and everything! we play a couple of rallies and then Sharron drops a shot just over the net . I sprint in to catch the shuttlecock, there is a loud ‘pop’ and I go down like I’ve been shot. I try and stand up and my leg doesn’t work.
30 mins later I am sitting in a wheel chair – James likes it he thinks its a super buggy. I think I’ve torn my calf muscle – badly

It was just another Saturday. The usual fight over tidying up, watching the boys and other domestic chores. Sharron and I were filling in the booking form for Center Parcs. We were going Monday to Monday – or so we thought. I noticed that the start date of the break was the 5th of January. " Shit that’s today!" Sharron checked the date and sure enough – we should have already been at Center Parcs. Cue panic.
We managed to use up every bit off space in the car. Five kids two adults and all the luggage. If we had just got the dates right then four of the passengers would have been going by train so it’s a bit of a squeeze.
Disaster number 2 the windscreen wiper breaks and yes it’s on the drivers side. I make it all the way leaning one side to see through the windscreen. What else can go wrong?
